A simple explanation about the difference between a hurricane, a typhoon, and a cyclone.
We look at where each weather phenomenon forms and takes place (on a map), and we also look at the how the direction a hurricane/typhoon/cyclone spins is different depending on whether it happens in the northern hemisphere or the southern hemisphere.
We also quickly look at the difference between American English and British English when talking about something moving in the opposite direction to clockwise. Is it counter-clockwise or anti-clockwise?
